Elstat began its journey in the commercial refrigeration sector in 1996, designing and manufacturing electronic thermostats, wireless temperature sensors, and voltage management solutions for a range of refrigeration applications.
The year 2000 gave birth to the Elstat EMS. Motion detection, coupled with a revolutionary learning algorithm, allowed the industry to control refrigeration responsively and responsibly. The first commercially available products were released to the market in 2002.
By 2008, a million EMS had been placed across six continents with total energy savings exceeding 1bn kWh. Our success in international markets led to us being nominated as a trade award finalist by the UKTI.
In late 2015, Elstat launched Nexo, adding a wealth of additional value for our customers in addition to their continued energy management needs.
In 2018, over six million Elstat EMS have been installed across the globe, and Nexo is the world’s leading Smart solution for the retail food and beverage POS market. We look forward to writing a similar success story over the next 20 years!
Henrik is a founder and former Managing Partner at ETF Partners, and chairman of the Elstat board. He is also a non-executive director of a number of successful European technology businesses. Prior to founding ETF, he spent 13 years at General Electric, investing in high growth businesses across Europe.
Fabrice has been a partner at ETF Partners since 2008, having previously worked at Goldman Sachs in the M&A advisory group (Industrials and Natural Resources), and at SH&E as a strategy consultant.
