A: Nexo is a SaaS (Software as a Service) for cold drinks businesses for their cooler channels. These services are designed to give insights into key operational areas – sales performance, asset management, tracking and maintenance – and drive consumer engagement through embedded Bluetooth beacons.
Q: Where are the Nexo services available?
A: Nexo is a global service.
Q: What if I don’t want all of the services?
A: Nexo services can be purchased either individually or as a package to suit your business.
Q: What do I need to enable Nexo services on my coolers?
A: A Nexo controller needs to be installed in your cooler during manufacturing.
Q: Are my current coolers Nexo compatible?
A: If you are using Ems55adv (V1.16) controllers in your coolers, you will soon be able to retrofit Nexo hardware in order to enable Nexo services.
Q: Does Nexo run on any hardware?
A: No, your coolers need to be equipped with Nexo controllers by your OEM at manufacture.
Q: What hardware will enable me to run Nexo services?
A: The Nexo EMS100 will allow you to run all Nexo services. Coolers fitted with Elstat controllers will soon be able to be retrofitted with controllers. Contact our sales team for more details.
Q: Do I need to invest in a new GSM network to gather data for Nexo?
A: No, Nexo gathers data using your existing sales communication infrastructure.
Q: Do I need any special software to run Nexo services?
A: No, Nexo services run in the cloud, so all you need is a web browser.
Q: How do I install Nexo?
A: Nexo hardware is installed at the cooler’s manufacturing stage. The system is commissioned and automatically becomes part of your online data set, accessed through the web browser.

A: No, the Portal is just an easy way to access your insights. You can download these insights, in either CSV and PDF formats, or use an API to integrate our insights with your existing system.

A: Your data is stored in our cloud.
Q: How do I know my data is secure?
A: Our systems have been security checked and fully certified to give you full peace of mind.
Q: Is my data shared with anyone?
A: Your data is only used to develop insights for you and is not shared with any other customer.

Q: Where do I download the Nexo app?
A: Once you are a Nexo customer, you are able to download the app from the links on the Portal.
Q: What operating systems will the app run on?
A: Android version 4.3 and above, which has support for Bluetooth module 4.0, and iOS version 6.0 and above.
Q: Is connection to the internet required to use the app?
A: No, the app can be used offline.
Q: Is the data transferred/synchronised automatically?
A: There are two versions of the app, one which synchronises with the coolers automatically and one which requires a manual connection. Depending on your requirement, one or both may be appropriate.
Q: Do I need to use your app?
A: No, we’ve provided a mobile library for you. If you have an existing app that your field base uses, you can leverage the mobile library into your existing app.
Q: How do I access the Nexo Portal?
A: You can use the link in the top right of this page or go to nexocloud.com.
Q: How do I get a login and password for the Nexo Portal?
A: When you purchase Nexo services, we will give you or your representative a Nexo Portal admin account for your company. You can then give varying levels of access to whoever requires it within your organisation.
Q: What is the preferred browser?
A: Nexo will work with the following browsers: IE10, Google Chrome and Firefox.
Q: Do I need to install an application on my computer?
A: No, Nexo is accessed through a web browser. If you want to download the data you will need a PDF viewer and an application that can read CSV files, such as Microsoft Excel.
Q: Can I access the Portal on a tablet or smartphone?
A: Yes, the Portal is accessible and optimised for use on a mobile device.
